Welcome
to the (Shamelessly) Unofficial Taekwondo Resource
– newly renovated and easier to use! This is the place for serious
students of Taekwondo. Brush up on your patterns, learn more about
Taekwondo, and share your experiences with others in our Discussion Forums.
Whether you're a white belt taking your first class or a seasoned veteran
getting ready to test for 6th degree black belt, we're sure you'll find lots of
interesting and useful material on this site to help you as you progress in
Taekwondo. As with any new roll-out, if you notice any 'technical
difficulties' with the site be sure to let us know.
WHAT'S NEW:
- New and Improved Discussion Forums are coming soon!
See our current discussion
boards until our renovated forums are up and running. We'll
provide a link to the new forums as soon as they're ready for launch.
So stay tuned!
- Three more articles from the Combat-TKD Korean Arts Newsletter are now available in
our Taekwondo Library.
- Links have been added to all the Taegeuk and W.T.F. black belt pages
which will take you to Kukkiwon's official site for applications and video
for each of their patterns. To get started, click "The Patterns"
button on the left-hand menu, select the Taegeuk or W.T.F. black belt
pattern you're working on, and scroll to the bottom of the page for the
links.
- A link has been placed in our Taekwondo
Library for VisionTKD's website, where you can find excellent
descriptions of the meanings behind the I.T.F. pattern names.
- There are 88 patterns available on this site.
No more excuses for not learning more patterns, more
quickly, more efficiently. These are the same thorough and updated
pattern descriptions you've come to expect from us and are the most
consistent and accurate you'll find anywhere on the web. To get
started on the patterns, use the link on the navigation bar to your left.
- The amount of content available at our "Reference Desk" continues to
grow and houses lots of Taekwondo information you won't be able to find in
any other single resource – in print or
on the web. This is the same material that used to be found in our
"Resources" section and includes The Taekwondo Library, our Frequently Asked
Questions, links to other high-quality resources online, major Taekwondo
organizations, and more. And there's always additional material on its
way.

- You can find
links to videos of the patterns available on other websites. We've
collected the links and resources available elsewhere and have incorporated
them into our "Reference Desk" section.
There are lots of changes coming and LOTS OF NEW INFORMATION to be added, so
visit often!
